Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Founded in 1950, our Department of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is one of the world’s leading academic departments for research, teaching and practice. We are dedicated to improving the health of women, children and families – domestically and globally. Our teaching program provides students with broad exposure to maternal and child health population needs and priorities, as well as with the skills to become leaders of tomorrow. Currently the department has 31 faculty members, 20 of whom have primary appointments in Maternal and Child Health (MCH). Complementing these faculty are four emeritus members, and more than 65 adjunct faculty, many of whom hold leadership positions in MCH research and practice settings. Given the interdisciplinary nature of our department, faculty and staff research interests and activities span the full array of issues and areas of focus for the maternal and child health population. Our initiatives are designed to create new knowledge and directly improve the health of this population.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized University Program Specialist / Program Coordinator to join our team and support faculty development initiatives within our institution. The Program Coordinator will
play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs aimed at enhancing the
professional growth and success of our faculty members.
Responsibilities include:
Match ACOG Fellows with follow on coach, managing communications and follow through.
Work with evaluator to manage processing of ACOG onsite evaluation.
Work with evaluator to create 6-month follow-on evaluation system, getting it ready to be implemented in October 2024.
Manage post-program communications with ACOG Fellow participants, including fulfilling post-program requests for assessment copies.
Contributing to manuscript management and creation for three manuscripts in progress.
Assist with creating/implementing post-program webinars for ACOG 2024 Fellows, including polling participants about potential topics and dates.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience working in program coordination, event planning, or faculty development within a
higher education environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design concepts, and professional
development strategies.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with program management software or
databases.
