Unit Clerk - Pediatrics (HOSP UNIT SVC CRD 3)
Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing reception and clerical functions for the nursing station; coordinates patient care activities with other departments to include programming and answering call lights, arranging transport services for transporting patients to other areas of the hospital, ancillary services, stocking supplies and forms, doing audits, and functions related to admissions, transfers and discharges of patients.

Department Description
The Pediatric Unit on Davis 7 at UC Davis Children's Hospital consists of 36 acute care beds where children ages newborn through adolescents with a wide range of acute illnesses such as respiratory, trauma, surgical, orthopedic, inpatient rehabilitation, chronic diseases including renal failure, cardiology, gastrointestinal disease, neurological impairments, and hematology/oncology patients receive state of the art medical and nursing care. The philosophy of family centered care is based upon the three key elements of respect, collaboration and support is practiced.

- Must be able to wear a uniform jacket, and scrubs in required areas
