What We’re Looking For

The Department of Biology, housed in the College of Arts & Sciences, is seeking an Undergraduate Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, be detailed-oriented and work well with students. The candidate must be a self-starter and work well in a team environment.

The qualified applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of executive level support. An active Christian faith is required. A Master's degree is preferred. 

 A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 

What You Will Do

  • Provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Program Director: assisting with course transfer evaluations, handling degree audit/registration petitions, managing scholarship process, supporting recruitment and retention initiatives, assisting students with registration issues, compiling data reports, organizing/administering departmental exit exam, and additional support as needed.
  • Work with Associate Chair, Graduate Program Coordinator, Undergraduate Program Director, office of the registrar and building administration on enrollment as well as course and classroom scheduling. Answer questions from advising, other departments and students about the undergraduate program and degree plans.
  • Provide staff support to the Undergraduate Committees.
  • Manage student employees for the Department of Biology that includes student ambassadors and office assistants. 
  • Assist Undergraduate Program Director and Graduate Program Director with website postings/updates, Biology emails, social media posting/updates, and special emails/announcements as needed.
  • Work on special projects assigned by Chair, Undergraduate Program Director, Graduate Program Director, Department Administrative Manager or Graduate Program Coordinator. Serve as back-up to departmental administrative staff, as necessary.
