Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The University of Maryland attracts thousands of students to campus each year. Current students play a crucial role in attracting prospective students to apply and decide to attend UMD through walking tours and other major visit events. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions hosts a series of events and daily visits on campus and selects a diverse group of students to represent the university in this influential role. As a University of Maryland Tour Guide, you will educate prospective students and guests about important facts and the history of the university while sharing your own unique UMD story. Tour Guides help foster a diverse community by building partnerships with multicultural organizations and offices on campus and assisting with recruitment efforts to achieve a diverse pool of new members who represent the UMD student body. We are excited about your interest in becoming a tour guide and serving in this important capacity. The pay for this role is $17.00 per hour.
