Postdoctoral Fellows – Mapping Circuitry for Chronic Pain

Two postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Lingyong Li’s Lab at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. This position will  map physical and functional circuitry for chronic pain using Patch-seq, snRNA-seq, multi-patch recording, TRAP2, neuroanatomy virus tracing, opto-/chemo-genetics, in vivo calcium/voltage imaging, high-speed camera with machine learning, and behaviors. The lab will provide the training for relevant experimental techniques. Recent lab publications include J Clin Invest (2022), Neuron (2023), STAR Protocols (2023), and Brain (2024).

Qualified candidates must have PhD, MD, or both within the past three years with expertise in slice recordings and/or pain research. The postdoc candidates will be offered a competitive salary plus fringe benefits per the University of Alabama at Birmingham policy and NIH guidelines.
