Job Summary
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, as part of the Office of Budget & Finance, the Treasury Analyst plays an important role in safeguarding the University’s assets by supporting compliance to our policies and procedures for sound cash management practices.
The Treasury Analyst manages banking and investment activity, including cash flow management and the relationships with credit card and banking partners. The Treasury Analyst also creates financial analysis reports, performs risk management functions, and administers training to end-users throughout the campus.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s – Accounting, Finance or similarAccounting – Three to five years experience

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree – Accounting, Finance or similar.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or other Enterprise Resource Planning systems including query and reporting tools.
  • Experience performing bank account reconciliations and utilizing banking portals to initiate bank transactions.
  • Experience managing credit card merchant services.
  • Cash management, finance, or accounting experience in higher education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cash handling compliance.
  • Responsible for daily cash flow and posting bank transactions to financial system.
  • Responsible for monthly bank account reconciliations and resolving reconciling differences.
  • Responsible for cost center and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for verifying banking information for wire transfers.
  • Responsible for managing credit card merchant requests and monitoring credit card activity.
  • Responsible for managing the annual escheatment process according to state requirements.
  • Responsible for assisting in implementation of PeopleSoft customization and improvements. 
  • Responsible for preparing analytical reports for banking and credit card transactions.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Treasury year-end journals and schedules.
