Work Schedule | Position # 010288 (11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) Position #010278 (7:00a.m. – 12:00p.m), Monday through Friday. Occasional, required shifts outside of the traditional shift working hours supporting special events such as Football games, Commencement ceremonies, chartered transportation and other PaTS-supported functions. This position is designated as mandatory. The incumbent is expected to use sound judgment with respect to maintaining personal safety given their individual circumstances, but also to make a substantial and good-faith effort to reach the work site in a timely manner when adverse weather or other conditions affect normal campus operations. |
Primary Purpose of Position | This position serves as part of the Transportation unit within the Parking and Transportation Services department – providing support to Niner Paratransit, a point-to-point disability transportation service for eligible program members, including students, faculty, staff and University guests. Receives and follows scheduled and on-demand transfer requests, in coordination with an on-duty supervisor or dispatcher, to safely and efficiently transport persons with disabilities to and from class, dorms, dining halls, parking lots and decks, and other locations on campus. Other responsibilities include monitoring and supporting Niner Transit, scooter/bike/car-sharing services, bicycle lockers, bus shelters, chartered and special event transportation, bus advertising and performing other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director for Transportation or their designee. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Required Minimum Qualifications: Sufficient experience to operate assigned vehicles or equipment. University Preferred Qualifications: Sufficient experience (usually at least six months) to operate effectively the machine to which assigned. Driver’s license may be required. |
