Transfer Credit Evaluators are responsible for reviewing and evaluating credit from other institutions as students transfer to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. They conduct research on accreditation status, grading systems, and calendar systems for schools we receive transcripts from. They also help support overall transfer recruitment and retention efforts by evaluating catalogs from our partner schools.

The ideal candidate will have two or more years of hands-on experience in postsecondary education student services or a comparable setting. Additionally, they will have demonstrated expertise in problem analysis and resolution, multitasking capabilities, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Candidates should be proficient in computer operations and data entry. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced work environments and adjusts to evolving policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree and two or more years of relevant experience in a postsecondary education student services or customer service environment, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
