Provide support for transfer credit evaluators by preparing documents for extraction of student identifiable information, course, graduation, and program/degree information from transcripts received for the purpose of transfer credit and basis evaluation. Assist in classifying document types and filing student related documents in document management system. Responsible for downloading and uploading transcripts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Download and upload transcripts to document management folders.
- Answer inquiries related to transcript delivery.
- Coordinate with Transcript Services on re-orders.
- Manage vendor portals established for the purpose of receiving transcripts.
- Perform Document Separation for documents that need to run through OCR.
- Index to various document types.
- Authenticate transcripts.
- Extract course, graduation, program/degree, and student identifiable information and link documents to individual students.
- Review unassigned transcripts.
- Answer teams questions related to batches and transcript authentication.
- Ability to work overtime and non-standard hours as required.

- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of student system technology, experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred.
- Ability to manage details and multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong command of the English language.
- High level of interpersonal skills and demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively support efforts of team members, as well as with a diverse community and with all levels of the University.
- Ability to work overtime and non-standard hours as required.
Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of data entry related work.
Education:
- Significant work toward a bachelor’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
Other:
- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles, travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%).
- Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
- If offsite or hybrid role, must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
- Faculty and Federal Work Study roles require access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including computer, privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
