Job Summary
Paid KUER Internship Summer 2024, May 13 – August 16, 2024
KUER 90.1, Utah’s largest NPR affiliate, is seeking an ambitious student for a hands-on journalism internship to assist with KUER’s afternoon broadcast of All Things Considered.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work 12-16 hours per week assisting in the production of KUER’s broadcast and digital news. They will assist in research, news gathering, interviews and production of daily stories on deadline for broadcast and for the web. They will use these acquired skills to assist the KUER newsroom and the All Things Considered host.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have strong writing skills, some print or audio reporting experience and basic audio editing skills. Excellent research and time management skills, as well as a strong curiosity about the news, are essential.
