Job Summary
The TES Admin Support K-12 Outreach performs various office support duties within a department, with significant emphasis on more complex administrative responsibilities.
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering seeks someone who can effectively plan, coordinate, deliver and manage outreach or extension educational services and programs to accomplish outreach goals and objectives, including communications, education, research, community assistance, and quality management.
About TES:
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions
  • Assists Director of Recruitment, K-12 Outreach, and Scholarship and K-12 Outreach Administrator to coordinate outreach programs for targeted groups, organizes program material.
  • Executes participant feedback.
  • Assists in developing marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to target audiences.
  • Assist in maintaining a database and website related to a specific activity, project, or service.
  • Acts as an assistant to the Director of Recruitment, K-12 Outreach, and Scholarship and K-12 Outreach Administrator in planning and coordinating activities to support a specific program.
  • Acts as an educational leader for in-person and virtual programs.
  • May conduct research for an activity, program, or service, write articles and reports, and develop strategies and avenues to disseminate the information and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Required Education and Experience Degree in a discipline related to the program.
  • Level I Bachelor’s degree in a discipline appropriate to position with no experience.

  • Level II Bachelor’s degree in a discipline appropriate to position plus 2 years’ experience. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.

  • Level III Bachelor’s degree in a discipline appropriate to position plus 4 years’ experience. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.

Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
