Position Summary

The faculty and staff of University of New Mexico College of Nursing (CON) welcome you to a tradition of excellence in nursing research, education, and clinical practice. We represent the very best in quality and innovation within an academic environment.  Our focus is on building evidence for effective practice and translating that evidence-based knowledge to practice and policy environments with an emphasis in rural health.

We are currently recruiting Temporary Part Time faculty members for CON undergraduate programs with responsibility to teaching new nurses and facilitating their transition into practice. The primary focus is clinical, didactic and/or laboratory teaching for 2024 and/or 2025 terms.


College of Nursing

The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country.  With over 1,000 enrolled students, the college offers pre- and post-licensure baccalaureate, masters, post-master, and doctoral programs.  Program offerings include the state’s premiere Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs; master’s and post-master programs across seven concentrations for APRNs, nurse educators, and nurse administrators; and the New Mexico Nurse Education Consortium baccalaureate curriculum.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or graduate degree in nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSN
  • Precepting or Teaching experience
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
