Job Description

The Woods College of Advancing Studies (Woods) is hiring a temporary finance and accounting position to assist the Associate Dean of Finance and Administration along with Operations team to do the following:

  • Manage billings, invoicing, deposits for all activity within Woods
  • Reconcile p-card transactions monthly
  • Provide reconciliations to the Associate Dean monthly
  • Track expenditures agains allocations in the budget
  • Process expense reimbursements as needed
  • Prepare and process budget transfers as needed

The position is needed on a temporary basis with the possibility of an extension through the end of the summer.   Hours can be flexible on a weekly basis.

Requirements

Ideally the candidate will have worked with Boston College financial systems in a previous role.  In additions, the candidate should be knowledgeable in the following areas:

  • Reconciliations
  • Use of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Fundamental accounting knowledge related to invoicing, processing payments, budget transfers, etc.
  • Prepare basic reports on actual versus budget
  • Problem solving
