The Master of Quantitative Economics Program at UCLA invites highly qualified applicants for temporary instructor positions for the 2023-24 Academic Year. This is a temporary, non-tenure teaching track appointment, on a part-time basis and made quarter by quarter, as dictated by instructional needs.
Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and the writing and grading of exams.
Qualified candidates must have several years of professional teaching experience and a demonstrated record of distinguished undergraduate teaching or proven expertise in the following specializations: microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, statistical methods, econometrics, big data, and finance. Ph.D. is preferred.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 3. The salary range for this position is $15,000-$65,000. 'Off-scale salaries', i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
