The Curry Health Center invites applications for a Temporary Advanced Practice Provider (physician assistant or nurse practitioner) to join their team for the Fall 2024 semester. This position will work within a team of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants to deliver high quality medical care for University of Montana students.  This clinician should be comfortable and competent with the use of an electronic health record; should have excellent clinical judgment; have experience with a range of patient ages, and be especially knowledgeable about the medical needs of a college age population.  They should have a high level of comfort and experience treating mentalhealth care. The clinician should be evidence based in their practice of medicine, and be experienced in bothacute and chronic health conditions.

  • Ability to learn our electronic health system, understand our policies and procedures and to use University of Montana services and resourcesto benefit students.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Minimum Required Experience
  • Licensed to practice as a physician assistant (PA) or a nurse practitioner (NP) in the state of Montana orability to obtain before hire.
  • Prescriptive authority authorized by the state of Montana and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a clinician as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitionerrole.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a collegehealth setting, electronic health record, and public healthapproaches for maintaining and improving health.

Position Details

Position Title:                    TemporaryAdvanced Practice Provider

Department:                       Curry Health Center

Work Schedule:                 Part-time, 0.8 FTE (32 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, position is for fall semester of 2024.

Salary:                                $47.736/hr
