The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Temp Administrative Support Assistant to join our team of professionals.

Duties include:

Assists with coordinating Admissions Committee meeting logistics, including, but not limited to, space allocation, technical support, scheduling, catering, and parking.

Arranges Interview Day logistics, including but not limited to, technical support, confirmation e-mails, applicant check-in, and general inquiries from interviewees. Schedules interviewees, interviewers and follows-up as necessary.

Assists with the creation of an admission record for accepted students which include pre-matriculation documents housed in Office of Student Affairs (OSA).

Serves as liaison between university administrators, students, parents, faculty, staff, and others, regarding admissions activities.

Assists in the evaluation of academic credentials and other documents related to medical school admissions.

Assists in ensuring compliance with policies, recommendations, rules, and regulations made by College, University, State, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and other agencies and accrediting bodies.

Responds to general admission inquiries by answering phone calls and responding to emails from prospective students.

Conducts the preliminary file evaluation of the medical school applicants and makes recommendations.

Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

 

Temporary

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience.

Work experience in higher education preferred.

 

40 hours per week

 

$19.15/hour
