Position Summary
UNC School of Medicine- Clinical Research Alliance is looking for a Technology Specialist who would serve as a - 
Project Lead: The Technology Specialist takes on the role of a project leader, overseeing small, medium, and large projects related to CRA software. They guide and supervise project activities, ensuring accuracy and completion at every stage. Their responsibilities include project planning, task oversight, and progress reporting.
Functional Lead: In this capacity, the Technology Specialist leads is responsible for implementing new CRA software. They handle configuration, training, documentation, and change management efforts. Additionally, they maintain core CRA applications, manage databases, user access, and system integration. Close collaboration with SOM IT ensures smooth day-to-day system operations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s or Bachelors and 0-2 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Technical: 
 Software management and configuration of complex information systems
 Strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, SQL, Database Mgmt, Wordpress)
 Experience providing technical support
 Experience with data and reporting tasks 
 Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Experience in data/document management, manipulation, and query techniques
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to work with functional users to understand functional requirements and translate those into a solution
* Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret organization and procedural problems to determine potential for automation (process improvement)
* Demonstrated accountability in task ownership and solution-oriented work approach
Ability to work independently using initiative and good judgment
Software implementation experience
* Experience in healthcare, clinical research, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device setting
* Knowledge of the clinical trials industry
