The Client Technologies Analyst II (Technology Specialist) under general supervision, will provide complex and non- routine specialized client technology support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, problem solving, etc, for Technology Services. Assists in developing standards for supporting enterprise-wide Microsoft 365 services. Serves as a liaison between engineers and campus members for incident resolution. Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of experience in hardware, software and network technology administration

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Must have strong interpersonal and strategic-thinking skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of advanced analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relations skills, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, context and interrelationships, and proficiency in the ITIL framework
  • Strong understanding of how to use the Microsoft 365 platform as a power user required Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and SharePoint Online
  • Deep understanding of customers’ concerns and thoughts regarding the use of products, and the ability to troubleshoot as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Training & Support - Administers support and training initiatives for Microsoft 365 Service. Develops standards and specifications for Microsoft 365 service and support based on input from the enterprise’s stakeholders. Consults with and assists Service Desk personnel, Microsoft 365 Engineers, vendors and/or manufacturers’ representatives in resolving complex procedural, operational, and technical problems. Serves as a liaison between engineers and campus members for incident resolution. Designs and/or leads Microsoft 365 campus engagement campaigns that support the Division’s Microsoft 365 enterprise initiatives.  Designs and leads in-person and/or remote Microsoft 365 training sessions with campus members. May troubleshoot complex and routine problems. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved.
  • Incident Management & Documentation - Monitors and works assigned incidents and helps request queues according to established Incident Management expectations using the Division’s Incident Management platform. Provides timely updates and effective communication methods to keep campus members informed through resolution. Monitors and addresses assigned work daily. Establishes protocols and processes for problem management and support. Stays informed and provides input on Disaster recovery/business continuity plans. May perform security assessments, design system security measures and data protection methods and develop disaster recovery plans.
  • Metrics - Participates with management in the planning, directing, and coordinating of operational and procedural goals and objectives. Participates in tracking and measuring objectives and key performance results for the team. 
  • Project Planning Support - Collaborates with and assists project leaders and executive staff to develop work plan and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and resource requirements. May implements new technology deployments and system integration testing.
  • Professional Development - Participates in a minimum of four (4) applicable IT training and professional development activities yearly, as approved by IT leadership.
