General Description
The Technical Services Student worker will assist with book processing, serials and multimedia resources to prepare them for the collection.
Essential Job Duties
•Assist with the processing of books, serials, and multimedia resources to prepare them for the collection .
•Help maintain the unbound periodical section by shelving and straightening serials
•Assist Technical Services staff with order preparation and duplication checking
•Assist Technical Services staff with stamping and record removal of discarded items
•Help maintain spreadsheet of children’s book gifts from a regular donor
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
•Must possess good eye and hand coordination and vision to see small print.
•Position requires lifting of 8 – 10 pounds.
•Excellent detail orientation is required.
•Basic computer/technology competency required.
