Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies seeks a Technical Analyst 2 for UNM IT Campus Outreach and Engagement to play an integral role in the IT support operations of the UNM Police Department.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft and its services along with experience managing Windows and Microsoft Active Directory OU management supporting file and print services.
This position will provide first level support for the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, utilized by PD and will coordinate vendor escalations with the Security Operations Director for the Police Department.
A combination of strong technical, communication and organizational skills, along with a thorough understanding of IT system management best practices, problem solving and strong customer service skills are essential.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

            - Demonstrable experience in providing automated computer configuration and management services.  Including a deep understanding of the associated concepts and strategies.

            -  Experience with Microsoft Active Directory based services including centralized file share/printer management and automated system/application update solutions.

            -  Ability to analyze complex computer problems from a centralized and user perspective and provide documented solutions.

            - Ability to provide first level support for users on access to the CAD system client supporting all Officers or PD and manage escalations to the vendor for troubleshooting and resolution.

            - Ability to pull data/reporting from CAD system as needed.

            - Ability to orchestrate and drive the successful and timely completion of tasks to achieve organizational and project goals

            -  Experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical people both verbally and in writing.

            -  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

            - Ability to oversee and maintain UNM PD inventory and oversee equipment renewal and refreshment plan
