Position Summary |
The UNM School of Law seeks an enthusiastic and customer service-focused Technical Analyst 2. This position reports to the Law IT Manager and is assigned to work full-time at the Law School. The ideal candidate will have the ability to educate and lead student technicians. Provide first level technical support for Faculty, Staff, and Students with their workstations, peripherals, and service access. Experience with Inventory Management, imaging software for Windows and Mac OS, and multi-function printers. A strong understanding of Microsoft services; Active Directory, NTFS permissions, GPOs, and MS 0365. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication skills, a thorough understanding of IT systems management best practices, and a well-developed sense of customer service for the values, practices, and procedures found in a higher education environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Review, resolve or assign new tickets and walk in customer issues. 2. Ability to communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. 3. Lead, train and assist our student technicians. 4. Enhance existing processes by analyzing day-to-day operations and identifying areas for modification and improvement. 5. Create, expand, and maintain our Knowledge Base. 6. Perform tasks required to set up computers, appropriate software, and network connections for new employees. 7. Provide IT Orientation for new employees. 8. Maintain accurate records of assets and work with UNM Inventory involving fiscal year inventories. 9. Perform regular checkups on all Multi-Function printers and work with printer vendors for supplies and maintenance. 10. Create, populate, and apply AD groups to file shares and 0365 security groups with the correct NTFS permissions. 11. Image workstations with InTune/SCCM/Jamf. 12. Create, test, and deploy Group Policy Objects.

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. |
