TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Media Laboratory-Network Computing Systems (NECSys), to join the group responsible for all the digital infrastructure that the Media Lab uses to produce, consume, and store bits. Will support the group’s daily operations and directly engage and support the lab’s diverse user community. Responsibilities will include facilitating video conferencing and multimedia requests; responding to and triaging technical issues reported by users; equipment purchasing, tracking, returns, and warranty repairs; general office support tasks including basic financial transactions, catering orders, etc.; installing, configuring, and updating personal computing devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; large format printing support; and monitoring IT systems for proper operation and working conditions.

REQUIRED: excellent interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, solid problem solving skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies. Must also demonstrate solid MacOS and/or Windows user skills, a basic understanding of common networking technologies, and experience with basic audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment setup and operations.
