Position Summary
Student Assistants are part of TEAM RED. Team Red provides customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Team Red is responsible for helping produce student events for the Campus Engagement Office. Responsibilities may include setting up, tear down and participation in the overall during various times during the day and evening. Team Red works in conjunction with the Campus Life office and are aware of all services provided by Campus Life.
This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for check-in at events.
• Actively participate in events to include set up and tear down; participate in putting together safety plan details for events.
• ALL Team Red and Campus Engagement events require interactive participation with UIW students.
• Answering multi-phone line.
• Actively participate in making reservations, producing flyers and participating in the planning of student events.
• Events include outside and inside events at various locations on the UIW campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organization skills to keep proper records of checked-out and checked-in equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program.

Work Hours
  • Monday through Friday 8 am- 5 pm.
  • Evening and weekends when needed for special events.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to move about the campus to run errands and special events.
