The Talent Acquisition Specialist- Recruiter must possess the following skills and attributes: strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels of an organization; effective oral and written communication skills; knowledge of office administration procedures with an ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized; high level of skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality; good time management skills; strong customer service focus and great team player; working knowledge and experience with UKG system, internet sourcing, and Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills with Excel.

 The Talent Acquisition Specialist performs the following essential functions:

  • Assist Hiring Managers with resume database searches.
  • Partner with the Hiring Managers to discuss their hard to fill positions
  • Source candidates through job boards, database searches, networking, and other creative sources
  • Prescreen candidates prior to sending to the campuses
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential candidates
  • Compile reports within the UKG system pertaining to recruiting
  • Provides information to applicants regarding application process, employment policies, organizational information, and employment postings.
  • Assists hiring managers system-wide regarding university’s hiring process, employment policies, background check process and any other recruitment and hiring questions.
  • Coordinate all aspects of recruitment and selection including but not limited to advertisements and job orders

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field; and
  • Two years of work experience relevant to the assignment of work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with external vendors, potential job candidates and internal employees.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive team attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Recruiting experience within Indeed and LinkedIn

This position is onsite at the Office of the Chancellor in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
