Job Description:

The Salesforce System Manager is responsible for optimizing Champlain College's Salesforce system while ensuring the availability of the student application and event registration portals and maintaining the data integrity of the CRM. 

This position plays a critical role in helping Champlain College fully utilize Salesforce and its related suite of tools to meet program-specific and department-wide needs effectively and efficiently. This involves conducting business analysis, gathering requirements, and planning and implementing long-term strategies toward solutions that improve and automate business processes and workflows to ensure that Champlain College is leveraging the platform to its full potential.

Significant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement new data architectures to capture and replace manual data efforts for real-time visibility and analysis.
  • Customize and develop new and existing salesforce automation with guided workflows to facilitate departmental needs across the college.
  • Regularly update the Salesforce and TargetX system infrastructure to maintain compliance and system stability.
  • Provide support to various application users such as those in enrollment operations, admissions, and marketing teams with ongoing technical support: process documentation, report writing, and ETL (bulk data manipulation and loading).
  • Permissioning and user management for new and existing users to ensure data security


Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years equivalent work/technical experience
  • Salesforce Admin Certification preferred
  • Analytical skills to respond to, influence and prioritize requested functionality/changes and identify customizations.
  • Experience with ETL software such as Informatica and DemandTools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into the best possible systems configuration and business process
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of declarative vs. Apex/Visualforce capabilities and being able to analyze best approaches.
  • Declarative solution vs programmatic solutions
  • Experience with online enterprise collaboration Tools (gmail, jira, office 365)
  • Understanding of Change Management best practices

Nice to have:

  • Experience with TargetX
  • A solid understanding of higher education
