On-prem mail server administration experience (Linux or Exchange)
Linux server administration and scripting experience
Knowledge of campus partners
Experience communicating with teams in higher education.
Job Description:
Summary
Assists in the analysis, design, and implementation of software/systems technical support and operating system capabilities.
In this role, you will ensure the campus and customers’ needs are addressed by focusing on architecture, design and implementation of visionary technology solutions relating to a number of technologies including but not limited to: Okta, Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Google Workspace for Education.
Example of Duties
• Monitors and resolves issues with operating systems and servers.
• Evaluates system specifications and tests for compatibility.
• Audits and administers access controls.
• Develops scripts to automatic repetitive tasks.
• Troubleshoots complex problems involving multiple systems and working with vendor support to implement fixes.
• Assists in coding and maintaining utilities, job control language, compliers, and system software.
• Modifies, maintains, and updates existing software.
• Reviews potential applications and interfaces of hardware and software.
• Participates in the design of detailed systems design specifications to meet defined requirements.
• Conducts tests of revised or newly developed systems software to collect operating data and identify operating characteristics.

• Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
• Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
• Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
• May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
• May provide guidance to students
