SUMMARY: 

Under general supervision from the Executive Director, Student Success & HSI Grant Project Director, the incumbent will provide excellent customer service, social media and website management, procedures and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.  Assist and directs participants and visitors with accurate information about the HSI STEM program.   Assist with outreach activities in support of the HSI grant. Filing, organizing records, data entry, assisting participants, and performing other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS): 

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency. 

PREFERRED: 

Bilingual in Spanish 

CERTIFICATION OR LICENSES:  

Valid Texas Driver License or ability to obtain

The incumbent will:

  • Answer, relay, and/or resolve telephone and walk-in inquiries. 
  • Maintain a basic presence on social media and HSI website.
  • Update content on HSI website and social media.
  • Schedule calendar, meetings, and answer inquiries concerning activities and operation of department.
  • Assist with operational functions. 
  • Review files and records to answer requests for information.
  • Check and distribute documents and correspondence.
  • Compile data and records of program activities.
  • Create, maintain, and process records and forms.
  • Send email and text communications.
  • Update and maintain databases.

 SOCIAL CONSTRUCTS REQUIRED OF POSITION:
