Position Summary
Coordinates and supervises the daily operations of clinical offices, support staff, and ancillary services of the clinical office for the division and supports the Clinical Director in compliance and reporting for Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises all business activities of the clinical office with the Clinical Director, including facilitating the creation and implementation of policy and procedures, office practices and clinical flow patterns.
- Directs supervision clinical and administrative staff, collaborates with the Clinical Director in counseling, reviews, timesheets, training, approval of benefit time and will act as back up for staff.
- Prepares, updates and coordinates division scheduling templates. Tracks physician’s availability and coordinates clinical schedules for the year with the Clinical Director.
- Assists in the interview and selection of employees, facilitates resolution of personnel problems, assists Clinical Director with staff scheduling, acts as a liaison and advocates for employees.
- Coordinates patient inquiries and complaints with Clinical Director.
- Assists with establishment and maintenance of all policy and procedure manuals, various business records, and personnel documents.
- Assists with patient billing issues inquiries and acts as a liaison to various clinical partners to develop resolutions.
- Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisor meetings and attends divisional meetings as requested.
- Provides support to the Clinical Director for special departmental/divisional projects as related to the clinical office.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Working knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, personnel, basic office skills, office systems and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification plus three to four years experience in related field.

Salary Range
$55,000.00 - $85,300.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
