Job Title:
Supervisor, MBSC and Chemistry Store


Department:
Business and Finance | Stores Office

Responsible for the daily operations of the central campus inventory stocking locations at the Molecular Biology Supply Center (MBSC) and Chemistry Store; organizes and supervises operations to meet goals and objectives; establishes and maintains policies and procedures to address operational and unit goals and enhance operations; establishes and maintains controls for order fulfillment, inventory, and billing ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures; improves effectiveness and efficiency through improved technology, controls, inventory processes, and customer service; works collaboratively with university faculty and staff ensuring a high level of customer service. Markets the services of the MBSC and Chemistry Store to current and future customers. Provides direct supervision to staff and student employees including hiring, scheduling, training and performance management. Analyzes and resolves problems.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; three (3) years of relevant experience; one (1) year of supervisory experience and one (1) year of inventory experience; strong customer skills, ability to supervise and train others including giving directions and reviewing quality of work performed; experience with inventory control systems; detail-oriented and strong work ethic; adaptable and the ability to work well with others; self-starter with excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills; experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); process improvement experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience using PeopleSoft inventory module; lean six sigma knowledge; familiarity with molecular biology; project management experience.

Additional Information:

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $22.16 to $29.54 per hour.
