Position Highlights

School of Anthropology is seeking summer session instructors for Summer 2024. Courses to be taught: Origins of Human Diversity, Evolutionary Biology and Heath, Ecological Anthropology, Culture and the Individual, Women Health Global Perspective, World Archaeology, Gender and Language, Mesoamerican Civil: Maya.

Duties & Responsibilities

Online Interpreting Instructor Duties:

  • Teach Anthropology course listed above
  • Hold weekly office hours and post times online and on the syllabus
  • Make sure dates on the syllabus and on D2L are updated and correct
  • Monitor and grade (P/F) online discussions and intervene as needed (e.g., when students need help, or have misunderstood something)
  • Answer student emails promptly and communicate regularly with students
  • Update curriculum and course materials as needed
  • Grade assignments, post grades and offer feedback in a timely fashion (7-10 days after assignment is due)
  • Communicate and/or meet with program director and UA  staff as needed
  • Provide feedback to program director and UA staff on the course/s as needed
  • Additional duties as required by supervisor
