Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Summer Research Trainee to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by learning the basics of structural DNA nanotechnology and supporting research into therapeutic DNA origami nanoparticles, and other such tasks as assigned to you.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Assisting with tasks related to the design, synthesis, and purification of DNA origami.
Providing assistant in the application of DNA origami nanoparticles in bioengineering applications such as cell culture studies.
Tracking programs and supporting data for various reports and evaluations.
Using a variety of resources to complete assigned projects.
Supporting the needs of department as required.
Other duties as assigned.
