Position Summary Information


Objective
To provide support to the faculty and staff in the Department of Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
Essential Duties
1. Maintain laboratory preparations.
2. Organize and clean laboratory work areas.
3. Prepare media, reagents, chemicals, and solutions necessary for laboratory exercises.
4. Assist faculty with assigned tasks.
5. Occasional clerical duties.
6. Must be able to wear PPE such as masks, gloves, goggles, and lab coat for certain tasks.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
You must have been awarded Federal Work Study and satisfy the enrollment requirements for this position.
Preferred Experience and Training
At least one science course taken at the college level.
Laboratory experience acquired through course work or work force.
Required Degree, License or Certifications
Physical Requirements
Applicant must be able to walk, stand, climb stairways and step ladders, bend, reach above the shoulder and perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms. This position also requires heavy lifting and pushing (45 to 70 lbs.).
