Student - UX Research Lab Assistant

Position Announcement

The UVU Digital Media Department is seeking an enthusiastic student to assist in the UX Research Lab conducting studies and tests within courses located in CS 409.  Additionally, the candidate will help with grading coursework.  


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Arrange and help with lab and field work
  • Assist students in the lab and in field work with instrument/devices in the lab
  • Create eye-tracking tests within the Imotion Core Software and mentor eye-tracking tests
  • Conduct and analyze usability tests
  • Use Figma to create Prototypes
  • Grade assignments for DWDD 2400, Practicum, and Capstone courses in Canvas
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a current UVU student.
  • Must have taken DWDD 2410 course


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of software and devices used in eye-tracking studies.
  • Knowledge of classes associated with the position.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Able to solve problems and keep track of tasks in the lab.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and fellow students.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.
