Job Summary

The Student Technology Specialist role will be primarily working to provide first level technology support and assistance by phone, over email, and in person. This support is related, but not limited to, university-owned computers and software and ULID account and password issues. Additionally, you will be assisting in property control, diagnosing, and recycling hardware from all over the university. Individuals in this position are required to be flexible, self-driven, and willing to work in a team environment.


Pay Rate

$14.50/hour


Required Qualifications

- Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week

- Strong research skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience or interest in any of the following:
1. Microsoft Windows 10
2. Mac OS Mojave, Catalina and Big Sur
- Testing and validation concepts
- Microsoft Office including Visio
- Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange
- Relational databases, specifically MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle
- Scripting/Programming languages such as PowerShell
- Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Conceptual and Logical Data Modeling, Source Target Mapping or Data Quality Design
- Development and support of a BI or Data Warehousing initiative
- SQL Query language
- Network and data center hardware
- Basic knowledge of HTML and website navigation hierarchies
- Basic understanding of web and mobile technologies


Work Hours

Between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Friday


Functional Expectations

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
