Position Summary

IT Applications seeks customer-focused, detail-oriented students to join our talented team. The Applications Support Team is responsible for providing advanced troubleshooting and technical support for over a hundred tools and applications, including Accounts Management, Banner/LoboWeb, LoboTrax, cPanel web hosting, MyUNM, and Help.UNM.  While this position will be responsible for processing NetID and web hosting requests, you may also learn and apply basic and advanced troubleshooting techniques with regard to our applications portfolio, and may assist with resolving and documenting issues and solutions.  Based on your skills and interests, you may begin to specialize in one area and receive additional technical training and coaching.  This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and learn dozens of tools, technologies, and skills from experts in their field.
We are looking for motivated people with a strong work ethic, demonstrated aptitude for technology, customer service mentality, and the willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies.  Must be flexible, have a positive attitude, and be adept at working on multiple tasks at the same time.  Must be comfortable with technology but no specific technical skills are required beyond those mentioned below.  Years of technical experience are less important than your aptitude, attitude, and ability to master new concepts and situations.
If you are organized, curious, like to be busy and get things done, and like learning new things, this is the position for you! Hours are somewhat flexible, and position can be fully remote or hybridized, depending on your preferences.
Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Fulfilling Account/NetID requests
  •  Fulfilling cPanel hosting requests and troubleshooting issues
  • Monitoring incoming requests and incidents for routing
