Work Schedule
Wage employees are eligible to work up to 1,500 hours from May to April each year, or approximately 29 hours per week. Actual work hours will depend upon College needs.

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
Ability to work with students who have been in the Virginia Foster Care system. Must be detail-oriented with a working knowledge of case management support. Strong ability to diagnose and problem-solve student situations, with the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office, meeting specific performance goals and have an ability to establish positive working relationships with faculty, staff and administrators. Position requires timeliness, reliability and flexibility. Ability to utilize personal computers and current software programs.
Additional Considerations
Working knowledge of college resources, and enrollment processes, and college operations. Coursework or specified training in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field is preferred. Knowledge of student supports and essential human services. Some knowledge of state and federal financial aid regulations.
