Position Summary

University College Advisement Center (UCAC) is hiring a student employee during the 2024 summer semester (May 13th until August 16th ). The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and some knowledge of UNM central/main campus. UCAC business hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM on Monday to Friday. We are not open on weekends and UNM Holidays. 

If you enjoy being the first "point of contact" consider applying for this position and joining UCAC Lobo-Pack! Some of your duties are to answer the phone, meet and greet visitors and manage lobby & kiosk area. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping others for example with navigating LoboAchieve to schedule an advisement appointment with UCAC advisors as well as provide campus information and directions.

Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications

·         Available to work a minimum of 28 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 8:00am to 5:00pm.

·         Familiar with using Zoom and/or MS Teams for virtual meetings.

·         Reliable and committed.

·         Professional integrity and active listener.

·         Detail oriented, time management and organizational skills are required.

·         Empathy and patience when responding to repetitive questions.

·         Problem solving and critical thinking to use knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problems.

·         Work independently and collaborates with others to achieve results.
