Position Summary

This application is for FALL 2024 hiring only.


The Student Resource Representative Student Managers are undergraduate students that support the programming and tutoring services offered to UNM students. Through this leadership position, SRR Student Managers provide mentorship and guidance to CTL student employees within the context of daily interactions with student users and overall program support. Student Managers undergo extensive training in preparation to perform the following responsibilities:

         Provides coordination and expertise for a CTL programs and services as they pertain to individual student needs.

         Provides mentorship for CTL student employees and models professional expectations through regular correspondence and timesheet entries.

         Plans and co-facilitates weekly trainings for CTL student employees.

         Participates in weekly 1 on 1 meetings with staff team supervisor to simulate a constant improvement model.

         Assists supervisor with hiring and candidate evaluation during seasonal recruitment periods and as needed.

         Holds a higher understanding of day-to-day operations and performs actions relative to daily needs.

         Works with full-time staff members on assignments and projects as needed.

         Represents CTL internally and externally through presentations to student groups, organizations, and classes on Student Learning Assistance related services.

         Provides outreach to student populations within the UNM community.

         Makes informed decisions and takes appropriate actions to maintain the integrity of CTL services.


Requirements For Consideration:

 

·         20–25 hour work week availability

·         Attendance at pre-semester trainings (week before classes begin)

·         Attendance at Friday trainings and content planning meetings(2pm-5pm)

·         Flexible work schedule for occasional nights and weekends if needed.

·         Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours at the University of New Mexico in a degree seeking program.

·         At least one semester of experience working in a learning center.

·         Minimum 3.0 GPA

 

Student Managers manage different teams of student employees and may have different requirements based on team needs.
