The Ohio State University at Mansfield seeks a full-time Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities Specialist 3 to coordinate the Campus Recreation Center. This role will be responsible for development, planning and coordination of student life and student success programming for Mansfield campus students. Additionally, this role will coordinate daily operations for the Eisenhower Student Center and the Campus Recreation Center. The ideal candidate for this position has several years of experience in a higher education setting, exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

This position is located in Mansfield, Ohio.

Our current enrollment of approximately 900 students includes both traditional and non-traditional learners, allowing for small class sizes with approximately 15 students per classroom. Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 4 years of relevant experience required. Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal direction and oversight; demonstrates basic multi-cultural and inclusion skills. Must be CPR, AED, and first aid certified within 30 days of employment and maintain certifications as required. Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal direction and oversight needed. May need to work an irregular schedule to ensure facility coverage and manage events, including evenings and weekends at times.

Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree in relevant field. Previous experience in higher education; four to eight years of work or equivalent experience in supervisory, budget planning, and/or strategic planning experience and strong customer service experience; ability to manage students in a professional manner; exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional written and verbal skills; self-motivator; ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

The target salary range for this position is $35,568 - $45,414/year.
