OARnet is seeking a detail orientated, design, visual communication or art student for a paid OSU student internship position. The student designer’s primary responsibilities will be to build and maintain visual communication diagrams and art for internal and external audiences, predominantly using Adobe Illustrator and templates.

The designer will use Illustrator templates to translate engineering sketches into diagrams as well as build art as needed.

The ideal candidate has a genuine enthusiasm for informational graphics, as well as interest in technology and learning new subjects. Organization, consistency and conscientiousness are important attributes for the position. 

This position allows students to work a flexible schedule and develop Illustrator skills. 

Education/Experience Required

  • Working knowledge Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop as well as Microsoft Excel.

Additional Information:

  • This position offers employment throughout the year, including the summer months and academic breaks, optionally.

  • Work schedule: Flexible during business hours 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday

  • Position is currently remote but could be onsite at a later date (location is on West Campus – 1224 Kinnear Road)

The Targeted Hiring Rate for this position is $13 hourly.
