Job Description

This position is part of the First-Year Learning and Engagement team in University College. The student assistant will assist with the daily operations of the FYLE office. 

Job Duties:

  • Provide clerical support 
  • Greet visitors
  • Assist with administrative tasks
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Summer and/or Fall 2024 OU class schedule. 

Skills:

  • Must be available to work throughout the summer.
  • The position requires a detail-oriented and efficient individual able to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to interact with students, employees, members and public.
  • Must have basic math skills and ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Regular bending, stooping, lifting, reaching and carrying. 
  • Frequent and repetitive arm and wrist movement. 
  • Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 25 lbs, depending on job assignment.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, as necessary, and depending on job assignment, occasionally to frequently. This will be determined by employee's assignment.
