Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA

Student Athlete Services - Academic

The Student Assistant will support Student Athlete Services as a Social Science Tutor on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024. 
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

• Provide subject-based tutoring to student-athletes
• Maintain daily records of tutoring sessions
• Tutor subject areas: Social Science

Shift Specifics 

• Up to 10 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
• Must be available to work at least one night per week (Sunday - Thursday)
• The Tutoring Center is open Sunday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Education

• Successful completion of at least two (2) of the following courses with a grade of "B" or better: 
  • PSYC 1101 
  • PSYC 2231 
  • PSYC 3141/3142 
  • SOCI 1101 
  • SOCI 2000 
  • CRJU 1100 
  • CRJU 2010 
  • ANTH 1102 
  • ANTH 1150

$14.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
