Position Summary:


The Residence Life Director for Community and Student Development is an integral member of the Campus Life leadership team. This position is responsible for the creation of programs and services which support student learning and success, and actively engage students in their residence hall experience. This includes oversight for the residence education curriculum, Residence Life student conduct policies and procedures, crisis management, and administrative processes such as hall openings and closings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years post bachelor's experience in Student Affairs
  • Experience in student development, residence hall community building, and student recruitment and retention
  • Experience in student conduct, student individual rights, and upholding community standards
  • Experience in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating professional staff
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, direction, and management for initiatives and comprehensive programs
  • Excellent decision-making, organizational, task-management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various constituencies, including parents, students, colleagues, and administrators

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Maxient or similar comprehensive conduct management software system

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$80,000. The final offer will come from the hiring manager and will be based on experience and qualifications.
