STUDENT ACCOUNTS SPECIALIST
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Student Accounts Specialist in the Office of Student Accounts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Performs all duties associated with the initial point of contact between students and families with the Office of Student Accounts.
· Receipting of deposits from students/family members and other departments for the University.
· Accurately communicates university and departmental policies and assists customers within the purview of Office of Student Accounts function.
· Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to staff, faculty, students, visitors and the community at large while handling all constituent needs in a professional, timely and positive manner.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three (3) years of related experience is required. Equivalent education, training and experience may be considered. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree and twelve (12) credit hours in accounting/business related area and experience in a fast-paced customer service industry and/or Datatel experience preferred.

Fiscal Technician II (AD03/61121276/FTE-S00993P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 04. Salary range: $31,561.00 (minimum) – $44,977.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree and twelve credit hours in accounting/business related area. Experience in a fast paced Customer Service industry and/or Datatel experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic familiarity with financial aid sources and regulations, university housing and student activities. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel; proficiency with email and telephone correspondence with customers.
