Summary of Job Duties:

Organizing the stock room and monitoring inventory levels to maximize the performance of the plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, groundskeeping, and custodial departments and making sure all materials are readily available. Manage the workflow with co-workers, creating team schedules and delegating tasks, Coordinating with other departments on distribution schedules to ensure that merchandise is delivered in a timely manner. Ensuring all products are appropriately stowed and accessible, resolve employee and vendor issues and disputes. Input data and prepare items and specified equipment for disposal, sale, and/or redistribution. Creating requisitions as a formal request to the purchasing department for materials/services used as well as maintaining audit records. Maintain current decal reports for incoming capital and non-capital equipment and/or software. Overseeing several programs in order to prioritize the duties and standards of employees as well as supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of inventory control and storeroom procedures and practices. Knowledge of packaging, shipping, and receiving procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates. Ability to maintain manual and/or computerized inventory records. Ability to prepare written documents such as status reports, forms, memos, and letters. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to monitor supply usage and maintain adequate supply levels.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in inventory control, storeroom operations, or a related field, including one year in a leadership capacity.

Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
