At least one year experience working with Native Plants.
Required License/Registration/Certification
College graduate preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push or pull materials up to 50 pounds. Work outside in various weather conditions. Able to stand, bend, lift and kneel for long periods of time. Ability to use various hand tools such as mowing, trimming, pruning, etc.
Shift
• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Some weekend work may be required, with advance notice
• 7:30am – 4:00 pm, with two paid 15 minute breaks, one unpaid 45 minute lunch
Job Summary
Assist the Curator of Native Plants with day to day operations of maintaining the Walk Across Kentucky at The Arboretum. Duties include but not limited to planting, weeding, mulching, propagation, mowing, greenhouse work and other duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience with identifying Native Plants. Ability to use various garden tools.

Preferred Education/Experience
College graduate preferred.
