The School of Allied Health and Psychology at Cedarville University is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time (1720-hours), non-exempt, staff position.
The School of Allied Health and Psychology (SAH) Administrative Assistant supports undergraduate and graduate programs in the SAH and assists leadership, faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and students, facilitating work necessary to advance academic programs to ensure efficient day-to-day processes of the SAH across the Academic Division.
Primary responsibilities include serving the institution by managing daily office tasks across the Academic Division on behalf of the School of Allied Health and Psychology. This individual communicates with faculty, staff, students, and university administration. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of institutional policies and procedures and work well with school personnel to develop and implement academic program changes. The Administrative Assistant assists the Dean with budget management and oversight of departmental and school purchases, provides clerical support to all members of the SAH, takes accurate meeting minutes for school and departmental meetings; greets all visitors in the SAH office suite, including prospective students and their parents, salespersons, current students, and members of the campus community; prepares requisitions and interdepartmental change forms, creates and maintains various databases including SAH course schedules, SAH majors information, and department graduate information; represents the SAH and the university to area business and schools involved in helping achieve student curriculum goals; communicates internship, job, and graduate school opportunities and announcements to SAH majors; serves as the primary point of contact for SAH phone and email inquiries; manages office inventory; and completes additional administrative office duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

A four-year undergraduate degree is preferred, or at least 3 years of administrative assistant/office management experience and a high school degree.

Proficiency in the use of technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database software. Microsoft Access experience helpful.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse constituencies.

Excellent and proven office support skills.

Proven ability to serve all constituencies in a friendly, professional, and responsive manner.

Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally.

Ability to coordinate support services for daily and long-range office needs.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, plan, schedule, and meet deadlines.
