Description

The Department of Medicine is seeking a Staff Research Associate to join our team. Working closely with our faculty, you’ll contribute to multiple laboratory projects focusing on liver diseases and metabolic disorders. Your responsibilities will encompass specimen collection, sample cataloging, and biobank maintenance. Additionally, you’ll cultivate and harvest cells, conduct various assays, and participate in animal experiments. In addition to these hands-on tasks, you’ll play a vital role in managing daily laboratory operations and supporting fellow researchers. Ensuring laboratory functionality, overseeing quality control and safety protocols, and facilitating the transportation of samples and equipment across campus will also be a component of your role. Hourly range: $25.75-$30.71

Qualifications

REQUIRED: * Ability to coordinate and prioritize work schedule. * Experience working at research laboratory. * Knowledge of patient confidentiality and safety requirement and ability to maintain it. * Ability to learn new techniques as required STRONGLY PREFERRED: * Degree in biological sciences.
