Responsibilities include cell culture of mammalian cell lines including human fibroblasts and human pluripotent stem cells. The candidate will assess the epigenetic state of human induced pluripotent stem cell lines through imaging and genomics approaches. The work will also involve basic molecular biology approaches such as cloning of plasmids, preparation of buffers and solutions, RT-PCR, immunostaining, RNA FISH, immunostaining and immunoblotting, and the keeping of weekly summaries of experiments and cell lines. The work will also involve live cell imaging, the generation of modified induced pluripotent stem cell lines and genomics analyses such as DNA methylation mapping. The incumbent will be required to coordinate and work together as a team with undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and project scientists.
