Position Summary:

The RN is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and managing all aspects of nursing care provided to our patients and their families in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and respectful manner. UT Medical Center Emergency Department is a level 1 Academic Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke and Cardiac center, that services 21 surrounding counties. UTMC ED sees approximately 94,000 patients per year.

Two ED educators oversee the ED nurse residency program. Applicants will receive an extensive orientation in our ED sim lab to prepare them to care for the most complex patients. We provide education and ongoing training/certification in trauma, Stroke, and Cardiac care. This includes BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NRP.

Dedicated ancillary and support services include the Unit Council, Educators, Team Leaders, Chaplains, Pharmacy, Social workers, and Peer Navigators.

Position Qualification:

Bachelors degree (BSN) or ASN

Current Registered Nurse licensure in Tennessee
